Christian Scripture –
Marriage Prayer
God’s Plan for Marriage is based on
Love for one another, because Love covers a multitude of sins (1
Peter 4:8). In Colossians 3:14- God says, beyond all things, put on Love, which is the perfect bond of Unity. In Jeremiah 29: 11, our Great God has promised
plans for the success for everyone, and this includes you.
Holy Spirit, in the NAME of Jesus, help us to practise the BIG
Truths of GOD's divine plan for our marriage.
Prayer
Father,
Son, Holy Spirit - we Love You for the holy gift of
our marriage. Dearest Jesus, we ADORE you.
In Genesis 1:27-28 God created
man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and
female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them,
“Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth."
In Genesis 2:21-25, The rib
that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and
brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of
my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because
she was taken out of Man.”
Therefore a man and woman - they shall
become one flesh. Thus God instituted marriage, a sacred
bond between one man and one woman.
In Mark 10:9 Jesus says, "What God has
joined together, let no one separate." Thus Jesus declared that
marriage is also a permanent bond.
In Ephesians 4:2-3, God commands
us to, "Be completely humble and gentle; Be patient, bearing
with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the
spirit through the bond of peace."
In Ephesians 4:32, God watches
over us, daily, to, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."
In 1 Corinthians 7:14, God says, The unbelieving husband is made holy through his wife,
and the unbelieving wife is made holy through the husband.
In 1 Corinthians 13:4-6, God
says,
- Love is patient and Love is kind;
- Love does not envy or boast;
- Love is not arrogant or rude.
- Love does not insist on its own way;
- Love is not irritable or resentful;
- Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
In Matthew 18:20 - Jesus
promises, where two (husband and wife) or more are gathered together
in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”. Thus Jesus commands
married couples to come before HIM in prayer and live in HIS
presence, moment by moment.
In Matthew 18:19 - Jesus
ultimately tells both - husband and wife that - I tell you the
truth, if two of you (husband and wife to hold their hands together)
agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for
them by My Father in heaven.
This is a great promise of God. What
God tells he will do for us, he will do. Accept this in faith - in
the NAME of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - AMEN.
Say to your spouse - I Love you in
Jesus our Lord.
