Going Straight To Heaven - Prayer of a poor Clare Nun

Prayer For Daily Neglects

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with all its love, all its sufferings and all its merits: First -- To expiate all the sins I have committed this day and during all my life. Gloria Patri. Second -- To purify the good I have done badly this day and during all my life. Gloria Patri.

Third -- To supply for the good I ought to have done, and that I have neglected this day and during all my life. Gloria Patri.

A Poor Clare nun who had just died, appeared to her Abbess, who was praying for her, and said to her, "I went straight to Heaven, for, by means of this prayer, recited every evening, I paid all my debts."

Prayer and Promises of Our Lady of Sorrows

 The Seven Sorrows of Mary

• 1. The Prophecy of Simeon (Hail Mary)
• 2. The Flight into Egypt (Hail Mary)
• 3. The Loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple (Hail Mary)
• 4. Mary Meets Jesus on the Road to Calvary (Hail Mary)
• 5. Mary Stands at the Foot of the Cross (Hail Mary)
• 6. Mary Receives the Body of Jesus Taken Down from the Cross (Hail Mary)
• 7. Jesus is Placed in the Tomb (Hail Mary)

Mary also gave these promises to St. Bridget of Sweden for those who pray a Hail Mary while meditating on each of her Seven Sorrows:

• 1. “I will grant peace to their families.”
• 2. “They will be enlightened about the divine Mysteries.”
• 3. “I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work.”
• 4. “I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.”
• 5. “I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.”
• 6. “I will visibly help them at the moment of their death. They will see the face of their Mother.”
• 7. “I have obtained this grace from my divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and sorrows will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness, since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son will be their eternal consolation and joy.”

May the presence of Our Lady of Sorrows console and strengthen you, now and always.
